Good evening,
Tomorrow is the first day of Nurses Week. This morning, a very small group of nurses and administrators gathered to present the Partners in Caring and DAISY Awards. We have uploaded the video for that ceremony and it is now available to watch on our SharePoint site here or you can get directly to the video here.
This year, Natividad recognizes three clinicians who support nurses for its Partners in Caring Awards. Each award winner was nominated for their partnership and collaborative efforts. The winners include Ruby Canonizado, a health care technician, Christopher Henderson, LVN, and Maria Velasquez, a nursing assistant. We also honored the first two recipients of The DAISY Award. The award is part of The DAISY Foundation's national program to recognize nurses who provide extraordinary, compassionate care. Lucy Vigil, RN and Jessica Davis, RN, both received The DAISY Award. Congratulations to each of you!
Yesterday, Resident Dr. Erica Romero and Sally Tirado provided coronavirus education at the Ocean Mist packing facility in Castroville. KSBW was there to report. You can view the story here.
On Wednesday, May 6, we are hosting a blood drive from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Please email Joey Garcia at GarciaJE1@natividad.com to schedule your appointment.
