Good Afternoon,

The Shelter-in-Place Order continues to be effective for now. At this time, there are 183 confirmed cases of COVID-19 among Monterey County residents. There have been 30 hospitalizations, 4 fatalities and 39 recovered. Of those tested, Salinas is seeing the highest incidence of confirmed cases, with 113, followed by South County at 27 and Peninsula/Big Sur Areas at 27. North County has had 11 confirmed cases. Natividad’s testing, hospitalization and results information is as follows:

548 Patients tested

  • 427 Monterey County Health Department
  • 15 MCHD pending
  • 140 Independent Lab
  • 0 independent pending

36 positive patients:

  • 29 seen in emergency medical triage tent or ED isolation room.  All were fully isolated and sent home under quarantine with care instructions.
  • 6 cumulative hospitalized patients.
  • 2 current.
  • 1 death.
