Good afternoon: 

At this time, our COVID-19 lab tests are mainly performed at Monterey County Health Department with an average of a 24-hour turnaround, and is prioritized by tier-level screening. As of today, our testing results and coronavirus hospitalization information is as follows:

429 Patients tested

  • 299 Monterey County Health Department
  • 16 MCHD pending
  • 140 Independent Lab
  • 0 independent pending
  • 24 positive patients:
  • 22 seen in emergency medical triage tent or ED isolation room.  All were fully isolated and sent home under quarantine with care instructions.
  • 2 cumulative hospitalized patients.
  • 1 current (and 3 PUIs as of this morning)
  • 1 death*.

The following are the test results and hospitalization from other local hospitals:

CHOMP (as of today)

  • 334 patients tested
  • 308 results negative
  • 15 results positive
  • 11 results pending
  • 1 positive in hospital
  • 1 death

SVMHS (as of yesterday)

  • 626 patients tested
  • 58 positive
  • 534 negative
  • 34 pending
  • 10 total admissions
  • 5 currently in house
  • 1 death
