Dear Natividad Family,
Hi, guys. I trust that this email finds you and your family and friends safe and healthy. You should all be very proud of the work you are doing to keep everyone well. I know it’s not always easy. But I hope that you recognize that you are each greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your courage and service.
Natividad VLOG
Starting next week, Natividad’s team is producing and sharing a new video blog (aka vlog). The videos will be available on SharePoint, so accessible to everyone from everywhere. Vlog host Andrea Rosenberg will take you to your colleagues who are on the frontlines through our video interviews. Dr. Gray is also part of our video lineup and is providing frequent updates to our COVID preparations. If you email your questions to ask@natividad.com, he’ll answer some of them via his videos.

Community Outreach
Core to our mission, we are continually monitoring and improving the health of the people during the COVID-19 crisis, including the vulnerable, in Monterey County through coordinated, affordable, high-quality care.
Over the last several weeks, Dr. Gray, Jennifer Williams at Natividad Foundation and others have been working closely with the Care and Shelter branch of the Monterey County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and Dorothy’s Kitchen to provide homeless folks with solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the same time, Dr. Nothnagle, Sally Tirado and Hillary Fish are helping and disseminating relevant information to the county jail and the Ag Advisory Panel. Drew Massengill has also been instrumental in helping to provide infection prevention guidelines for the prison and jail. We are hopeful that our involvement in all of these critical initiatives will help lead to better outcomes for our most vulnerable populations.
Priority Access
Businesses are also changing hours and giving priority to those who are more vulnerable and to health care workers. Among them is Costco, which is temporarily allowing priority access to our warehouses for Costco members who are healthcare workers and first responders such as police officers, EMTs and firefighters. Healthcare workers and first responders who present a Costco membership card and official identification of their role will be allowed to move to the front of any line to enter the warehouse.
In closing, please take a moment to read this thank you note from a local resident. You are all loved. Happy Friday.
Yours,
Craig Walls, CMO
